NOMC expansion approved

North Okaloosa Medical Center CEO David Sanders announcedThursday night final approval has been obtained for a $22-million addition for a “patient tower” that would increase the hospital’s capacity from 110 beds to 150 beds.

The announcement was made at an event sponsored by the hospital’s Women’s Advisory Board.

Last month Sanders said hopes were to break ground on the project by the end of 2009. The proposed expansion follows on the heels of $12 million in upgrades at the hospital since 2007.
