Summit Bank names president of Okaloosa operations
Summit Bank NA has named Philippe Miceli president of its Okaloosa County operations, which includes Premier Community Bank branches.
Miceli, formerly of BankTrust, Santa Rosa Beach, has 23 years banking experience, the last 17 of which were in Okaloosa County. He spent seven years as a member of BankTrust’s Florida Senior Management Team. As such he not only led the bank’s team of lenders, but managed the institution’s most profitable group of clients, including substantial loan portfolio and deposit accounts, according to a press release.
In December 2011, Summit Bank acquired from the FDIC as receiver Premier Community Bank of the Emerald Coast, with banking operations in Crestview and Fort Walton Beach.
As market leader, Miceli will be part of Summit Bank’s transition team when the former Premier locations convert to Summit Bank in early May.
“Philippe is an effective team builder and his years of banking experience in this area make him the ideal choice for our planned growth here,” says Summit CEO Andy Stein. “He’s an important part of the community here and we’re looking to him to help us expand the Summit Bank brand.”
Miceli’s involvment in the community is long lasting and far-reaching, including being former chair of the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, the Niceville and Fort Walton Beach Chambers of Commerce, and former president of the Rotary Club of Fort Walton Beach and United Way of Okaloosa and Walton County, according to the press release.
Miceli is a graduate of the Co-op International Student Exchange Program at Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., and is a graduate of the ECCIP, Paris, France. He served as a master sergeant in the French military.
