Operation Military Pride sends snacks to local troops

The local American Legion Auxiliary is making sure local troops stationed in the Middle East are getting some munchies.

Legion Auxiliary first vice president Ashley Grabowski spearheads the local effort, which is part of Operation Military Pride. Food and toiletries donated at the Crestview American Legion go directly to soldiers from our area, who then often share them with their comrades.

Contributions may be brought to the American Legion Post 75, at 898 East James Lee Blvd. during opening hours, 11 a.m. until around 10 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays, and 1 to 10 p.m. Sundays.

For more information, call (850) 689-3194. Visit www.operationmilitarypride.org/packages.html for lists of the groceries and commodities most needed and appreciated by the troops.
