CRESTVIEW — The City of Crestview Police Department is participating in the 2012 National Halloween Impaired Driving Crackdown from Oct. 25 to Nov. 4.

Crestview officers are strictly enforcing a “Zero Tolerance” policy for drunk and impaired drivers.

Law enforcement agencies nationwide are looking for those who are driving drunk or impaired, and keeping them off the roadways by taking them to jail.

Annually, more than 10,000 people are killed, and more than a quarter-million people are injured nationwide due to drunk or impaired drivers, costing more than $130 billion dollars in damages and medical expenses.
