CRESTVIEW — A 33-year-old man was arrested Friday morning after officers were called to a disturbance call involving shots being fired into a home.

Christopher A. Spurlock was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and firing a missile into an occupied dwelling, according to a Crestview Police press release.

Officers were called to 511 Krest Drive around 3:45 a.m. in reference to a domestic disturbance. According to the release, Spurlock had been drinking and had gotten upset with his wife when he armed himself.

While in the home, Spurlock allegedly fired off the gun multiple times. At some point, the woman was able to flee from the home and call for help, the release stated.

Officers at the scene determined that several rounds shot off in the home had gone into the surrounding wounds. No one was injured by the gun's bullets.

Spurlock was found walking in the middle of the roadway on Krest Drive and picked up by officers. He was transported and taken to the Okaloosa County Jail.
