Tough day for New Jin Jin (updated)

New Jin Jin Chinese restaurant at 2258 S. Ferdon Blvd. was temporarily closed Thursday after a partial inspection following a complaint, according to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation Web site.

The restaurant recently was closed for two days due to the results of a routine inspection by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation

Earlier Thursday, the Crestview Police Department responded to a report of a break-in at the restaurant .

Police found signs of forced entry to the back door of the restaurant. Police found the cash register tray on a counter. No currency was left in the tray. There was some change remaining.

Police said employees of adjacent businesses reported the damage to the back door.
