North Fla. officer cited after 3-vehicle crash
DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) — A north Florida police officer was cited for careless driving after causing a three-vehicle collision.
Florida Highway Patrol says that 62-year-old Gregory Gandy was driving an unmarked DeFuniak Springs Police car just after 7 a.m. Monday when he rear-ended a 2003 Toyota sedan, which then struck a 1998 Chevrolet truck in front of it.
Gandy had minor injuries but did not go to the hospital. His passenger was not injured.
The patrol car sustained $2,000 in damages, according to the report.
