KofC CHARITY DINNER: The Knights of Columbus will host a dinner fundraiser on Jan. 16 at their hall at 701 E. James Lee Blvd. in Crestview. Spaghetti and meatballs will be served. Their special consists of bone-in porkchop, mashed potatoes and vegetables. Both meals come with salad and dessert. Meals are $7 per adult, $5 per preteen, and free for children under five years old.

VOLUNTEERS FOR CRESTVIEW GROUP: The Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida is looking for fun and energetic people to join the Crestview Helping Hands Volunteer Committee. TIP TRAINING: The Northwest Florida Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) Winter Training Academy Program begins Jan. 14. This organization trains volunteers to assist survivors of traumatic situations.
All volunteers are summoned to the scene of traumatic events by police officers, sheriff’s deputies, hospital personnel and EMTs.

LIPIZZANERS AT BAKER ARENA: On Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. the Baker Arena will host a presentation of the Lipizzaner Stallions. YMCA SIGNUPS: The Crestview Family YMCA is hosting youth basketball for boys and girls ages 2-17 and an adult basketball league for people ages 18 and up.

AMERICAN GIRLS BOOK CLUB: The Crestview public library on Commerce Drive behind the post office is hosting an American Girls Book Club. The club meets every third Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the Story Room. Members talk about the book and discover more about life at different times in American history. Activities, arts & crafts, and interesting snacks are part of each session.

VOLUNTEERS: Emerald Coast Hospice is in need of volunteers in the Walton-Okaloosa area. Becoming a hospice volunteer is similar to helping a neighbor in need. CRISIS HOTLINE/RAPE CRISIS CENTER: by Bridgeway provides free confidential crisis intervention, certified Rape Crisis Center services, on-site intake and evaluation, suicide prevention and crisis stabilization. They also provide free services and advocacy to victims of violent crime 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The center also assists victims of sexual assault with the information and personal advocacy they need, whether or not they chose to report the crime.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters needs volunteers to work in the Emergency Operations Center assisting county personnel in the event of any natural or manmade disaster affecting Okaloosa County.
