Submit candidate forum questions
If you would like to ask the candidates who will be on the Aug. 24 Primary Election ballot specific questions, the Crestview Area Chamber of Commerce Government Issues Committee is providing two opportunities for you to do that over the next two weeks by sponsoring Meet and Greet events that will include question and answer sessions.
One event is scheduled for July 29 and the other will take place Aug. 5.
Both events will start at 5 p.m. at the Warriors Hall city auditorium located in the George H. Whitehurst Municipal Building at the corner of Industrial Drive and Stillwell Avenue in Crestview.
The meet and greet segments will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m., followed by question and answer segments of about one hour each.
The July 29 event will feature candidates for Circuit Judge – Circuit 1, Group 3; candidates for Florida House of Representatives District one and five; and Florida Senate District two.
The Aug. 5 event will feature candidates for Okaloosa County Commissioner Districts two and four and the Republican candidates for Okaloosa County Sheriff.

The chairman of the Government Issues Committee, Cal Zethmayr who is the Community Information Director for WAAZ-FM and WJSB-AM, will moderate the July 29 forum, and Jason Mobley, Publisher of the Crestview News Bulletin, will moderate the August 5 event.
