All-county talent

Crestview High School junior Kyle Eastman was excited as he squirmed in tight with his fellow Big Red Machine all-county band members for a group photo.

“This is the first all-county picture I’ve ever been in!” he exclaimed, adding he missed the chance to be in the picture in eighth and ninth grade.

Kyle joined 20 other members of the acclaimed CHS band in being selected to perform in the 2010 Okaloosa All-County Band. Of the 12 trumpeters in the entire county band, six are from Crestview High’s band.

In addition, eight members of the Big Red Machine, including drum major Johari Harris, have been selected for the prestigious Southeastern United States Honor Band.
