United Way announces 2013 campaign fund allocations

CRESTVIEW — United Way of Okaloosa-Walton Counties has approved allocation of funds from the 2013 campaign. 

Forty-two partner agencies will receive the allocations as follows.

CHILDREN & EDUCATION GROUPS

AMIkids of the Emerald Coast, $7,939; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida, $8,378; Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast, $20,187; Boy Scouts of the America Gulf Coast, $16,012; Eleanor J. Johnson Youth Center, $22,441; Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, $31,808; Emerald Coast Science Center, $1,891; Girl Scouts of the Florida Panhandle, $1,849; Independence for the Blind of West Florida, $3,874; Okaloosa-Walton Child Care Services $23,948; S4P Synergy $13,472; and Walton Education Foundation $17,589.

FINANCIAL STABILITY & DISASTER READINESS ORGANIZATIONS

American Red Cross $26,128; Bay Area Food Bank, $7,526; Caring & Sharing of North Walton, $2,258; Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida, $26,118; Habitat for Humanity in Okaloosa County, $21,875; Habitat for Humanity of Walton County, $3,193; Judge Ben Gordon Jr. Family Visitation Center $7,883; Okaloosa Coalition Homeless/FRESH Start, $14,629; Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation, $1,231; Salvation Army of Okaloosa-Walton Counties, $15,083; Sharing & Caring of Okaloosa County, $37,287.
