EVENTS

CAR WASH FUNDRAISER TODAY: Calvary Apostolic Church will hold a car wash fund raiser Saturday from 8 a.m. at CVS at the corner of U.S. 90 and State Road 85. Donations are welcome.
All proceeds will benefit the church’s Back to School Bash. For details, call 682-6191 or 682-1776.

LAY YOUR ADDICTION TO REST: Rollin' for Christ, a ministry founded by John and Cynthia Bass of Crestview, is hosting a second outreach in Okaloosa County in May.
It will be held at Fairview Park in Crestview during May Day. For information on either event, call Ministers John and Cynthia Bass at 682-9176 or e-mail rollinforchrist@cox.net.

EGLIN CHOIR ANNIVERSARY: The Eglin Chapel Brotherhood Choir will celebrate its 33rd anniversary on Saturday, May 17 at 6 p.m. at the Chapel Center. Everyone is invited to come enjoy this program. For more information, please call 882-2111.

HOMECOMING AT MAGNOLIA BAPTIST CHURCH, 3198 Hwy 602, Laurel Hill.  The event is Sunday, May 18 at 9:45 a.m., with music by the Harrelson Family. Morning worship at 11 a.m. and preaching by Brother Danny Starling, supply pastor. Dinner will follow in the fellowship hall. Everyone is invited to attend. There will not be an evening worship service.

HOPEWELL 113TH HOMECOMING: The Hopewell United Methodist Church will celebrate Homecoming on Sunday, May 18 at 11 a.m. Pastor Sam Persons Parks and the congregation invites all former members and friends to attend the service and dinner afterward. Rev. Parks is the speaker for this event.
The church is located five miles west of Laurel Hill on New Ebenezer Road, just over the state line (10 miles west from Florala on Hwy. 4, turning south on Covington County Road 20, and going one mile.

CAMP VICTORY FOR 3RD-12TH GRADERS: Christian camping for eight weeks. Each week there is a different age group. Horseback riding, swimming, rock climbing, boating and more activities are planned. ANNOUNCEMENTS

SHORELINE OFFERS UNIQUE SERVICE: Shoreline Church of Destin, which gained notoriety by meeting at the Rave Motion Pictures Theater, is offering another unique service this spring.
The Tuesday night service is similar in structure to the Sunday morning service; a talented worship band plays relevant secular songs and spiritual songs, Partin teaches the message, and the service closes with prayer. Attendees are welcome to order food – even a beer or a glass of wine – while they enjoy the service.
Shoreline Church’s service at McGuire’s Irish Pub in Destin is on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m.

CATHOLIC RCIA: The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is designed for those seeking one or more of the Sacraments of Initiation; Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. This formation process is the church's approved method for individuals to become members of the Catholic community. Sessions are held at the Eglin Chapel Center Annex from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. each Wednesday evening. For more information, please call Susan Huberty at 882-7320.

FREE BIBLE CORRESPONDENCE COURSE: Airport Road Church of Christ is offering a free Bible correspondence course. Call 682-4025 for more information. The radio program airs Monday through Saturday at 5:45 a.m. on WAAZ, 104.7 FM.

BOOK OF REVELATIONS STUDY: Each Sunday evening at 5 p.m., the Good Hope Congregational Church presents the study of the Book of Revelations. Rev. Tommy Coleman will be presenting the study and there will be finger foods to follow every Sunday evening. Anyone interested may join. Call 537-4307 for more information.

SQUARE DANCING: The New Bethel Methodist Church hosts square dancing in the Fellowship Hall on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. Come out for fun and good exercise!
