NICEVILLE — Information sessions for admission to Northwest Florida State College’s Collegiate High School on the Niceville campus are 5:30 p.m. Dec. 3 and 13 in room 132 of the Student Services Center. Another is 5:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Crestview Public Library.

The sessions give an overview of the school's program, explanation about the application process and testimonials from current students, as well as the opportunity to meet school personnel and ask questions.

The priority application period to return completed admissions packets ends in February. However, interested students should attend an information session and begin the application process now, school representatives said. Packets are available at www.nwfcollegiatehigh.org, from the school, or at all seven college locations.

Call 729-4949 for details. The school closes Dec. 19 to Jan. 1 for the holidays and reopens Jan. 2.

Tenth- through 12-graders simultaneously pursue a standard high school diploma and a transferable college degree or transferable college credits at the school.

Attendance is free and includes free college-credit classes, textbooks, transportation, use of a personal laptop computer and access to personal tutoring.

The Collegiate High School was the top scoring "A" high school in Florida in 2012 for the third time in the school's 11-year history, as graded by the Florida Department of Education.
