Man accused of stabbing half-brother

CRESTVIEW -- An Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office deputy was called to North Okaloosa Medical Center May 2 about a man who said he and his half-brother had been arguing about money and his half-brother started swinging what appeared to be a knife.

He said he was stabbed in the right arm and neck, and scratched on the stomach.

Deputies went to the Holt residence where the fight took place and saw Justin Benjamin Asher, who is 22, flee from the residence.

A witness said the victim was stabbed with a beer bottle, not a knife.

Asher was arrested June 24 and charged with aggravated battery.
