CRESTVIEW — A teenage girl suffered minor injuries Friday night after her SUV collided with a car, overturned several times and burst into flames, according to lawmen.
The girl, 17-year-old Megan Elise Dawson of Baker, was driving south on Antioch Road in her 1993 Chevy Suburban at 9:42 p.m. when she tried to pass two other vehicles and collided with a northbound 2000 Honda S2000 driven by Miguel Talavera Santiago of Crestview, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
After the two vehicles collided, the Suburban overturned and blocked both lanes of Antioch Road before it caught fire, the FHP reported.
The Honda spun across the east shoulder into the tree line. Talavera Santiago also suffered minor injuries.
Dawson was cited for passing in a no-passing zone.
