CRESTVIEW — A 42-year-old woman was charged with drug possession after spontaneously telling an officer she had drugs.

The woman went to the Crestview Police Department and told them that she “had drugs on her and needed to go to jail.” She gave the officers consent to search her.

She refused to empty her pockets and asked for a female officer to search her. A female deputy with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrived and searched the woman.

The deputy found a small plastic bag with meth in her front pocket.
