CRESTVIEW — A 59-year-old man was charged with trespassing after returning to two stores he was previously told not to return to.

A Crestview police officer was called to Publix about a theft. Before he got there, another officer told him he saw the suspect at Walgreens. When he got to Publix, the suspected thief was detained.

The officers spoke with a manager at Publix who said the man entered the store, placed alcoholic beverages in a bag and left. The officer watched the surveillance footage and saw this happen.

The store did not want to press charges for theft, but the man was trespassed earlier that day from both Walgreens and Publix.

The officers spoke with the manager at Walgreens who said the man came in a few hours after he was trespassed, walked around the store and left.
