CRESTVIEW — A 22-year-old woman was charged with petit theft after stealing clothes from a store.

The manager at Dollar General called the Crestview Police Department to report a shoplifter. A woman and her mother entered the store together. The mother made a purchase by herself, but did not leave.

The mother continued to walk around the store with the items she paid for in her cart. The employee said she saw the daughter add items to the bag without paying for them. The employee followed them out and asked the daughter to look inside the bag.

The items stolen were a sports bra valued at $8, pink pants valued at $9.95 and a 5-pack of black socks valued at $5.95.
