CRESTVIEW — A 25-year-old woman was arrested for burglary and property damage after breaking into a liquor store and stealing merchandise.
A Crestview police officer was called late one night to Cash’s Corner Pocket on Main Street about an alarm activation. Once he got there, he noticed a shattered window and a trail of blood.
A K9 officer was called to the scene and located the person about a quarter mile west of the business. She had a deep cut on her knee that was still bleeding. According to the arrest report, the woman was wearing a red bra and black spandex clothing.
The woman had a black bag that contained 57 small bottles of alcohol. The owner of the business was unable to get to the store, so the officer couldn’t watch the security footage or get an accurate value of the alcohol.
However, the owner told the officer over the phone that the woman “did not have permission to break my window. I want to press charges.”
Four blood samples and the bag of alcohol were taken and submitted as evidence. The woman was acting “irrationally,” according to the report, so she wasn’t able to be interviewed.
