Four people, including two children, were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
CRESTVIEW — A 63-year-old Crestview man was airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries after a motorcycle crash Monday night.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, just before 9 p.m. on June 4 a Yamaha motorcycle driven by Wayne Murry Lundy was traveling eastbound on Airport Road, just west of the intersection at Red Oak Drive, in Crestview. A Lincoln Continental driven by 38-year-old Jerilmy Ellis Alonzo Brow, also of Crestview, was stopped, attempting to turn onto Red Oak Drive.
As the Lincoln began to turn, the front of the motorcycle collided with the right side of the car, sending it into a tailspin before it came to a final rest facing the opposite direction. The motorcycle came to a final rest against the car, on its front wheel.
Brow and three passengers, a 23-year-old woman, 11-year-old girl and four-year-old girl, were taken to North Okaloosa Medical Center with minor injuries.
Lundy was airlifted to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center with critical injuries.
The report said Lundy was wearing a helmet.
Charges are pending in the case, according to the FHP.
