CRESTVIEW – A man who pushed his drugs out of the floor of his 1980 Datsun pickup truck was arrested anyway when officers discovered the hole.

They also found a container of cocaine on the road directly under the hole in the truck.

The 57-year-old Crestview man faces felony charges of possession of a controlled substance, according to his Crestview Police Department arrest report.

The officer pulled him over after he noticed the truck had an expired tag and the driver was swaying from side to side in the roadway, as if the driver was reaching toward the passenger compartment.

When the officer approached the truck, the driver was making multiple furtive movements, the report said.

When the truck was searched, a “significant hole” was discovered.
