CRESTVIEW – A 16-year-old boy who pulled two baggies of marijuana and methamphetamines out of his “crotch area” during a traffic stop was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after Crestview Police Department officers searched him and found a small postage scale in his sweatshirt, according to his arrest report.

He told officers he forgot the scale was there.

The officers then told him that he was going to a detention center where he would be searched again, at which point he pulled a baggie of cocaine out of his left sock, the report said.

Since the boy was a minor, his mother was called. He was later released to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
