Construction activities will begin on State Road (S.R.) 397 (Eglin Boulevard) in Okaloosa County the week of Feb. 19. Improvements will consist of resurfacing Eglin Boulevard from S.R. 85 to Lewis Turner Boulevard, minor drainage improvements, guardrail upgrades at the S.R. 85 overpass, and new signs and pavement markings.

Motorists can expect intermittent lane restrictions. However, there will be no lane closures allowed between 5:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. Weather permitting, the project will be complete in a little over two months.

All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
