A Crestview woman is hoping that she will somehow see her wedding rings again.
Tammy Pearson has worn the two bands around her neck on a chain for more than a decade, ever since an allergy prevented her from wearing them in the more traditional manner.
Thursday afternoon, between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m., the chain broke, scattering the rings. She found the chain tangled up in her hoodie, but the rings were gone.
One is a black Tungsten band about the width of a pencil eraser, while the other is a narrow gold band with grooves on it.
She stopped at two places during the time the rings disappeared -- the Winn Dixie and the nearby Exxon station. She has contacted both businesses, but no one has turned in the rings.
"They're not worth much as far as money value," she said. "But they're my wedding bands. They're sentimental."
She and her husband have been married for 15 years.
