CRESTVIEW — A 35-year-old man was arrested for threatening to kill an 11-year-old boy with a knife because he thought the boy may have stolen his cell phone.
According to the man’s arrest report from the Crestview Police Department, officers said the boy’s father told them the man threatened his 11-year-old son while wielding a kitchen knife in his left hand. According to the father, the man shouted “Get back, I will kill anyone about my phone.” Afterwards, the man went to the boy’s sister’s home and asked her where her little brother was. The boy’s sister said the man repeatedly told her that her little brother stole his phone. He then began waving the kitchen knife around and yelling “I will kill all y’all.”
The man was found in the area with two large kitchen knives on his person, as well as multiple baggies containing cocaine and a used hypodermic needle.
The man was arrested and charged with child abuse without great bodily harm, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation.
