CRESTVIEW – A man who tried to hide methamphetamine in his groin area before a strip search at the Okaloosa County Jail was caught and arrested.

A correctional officer saw the 31-year-old Cocoa Beach man trying to hide the drugs, according to his Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.

He later told authorities that he’d hid it on his person so he could smuggle it into jail.

He said he did it because he is a “junkie” and was “gonna get high.”
