CRESTVIEW — A 22-year-old woman was arrested for grabbing the steering wheel from her boyfriend while he was driving and throwing a can of soda on him.

According to a report from the Crestview Police Department, on Nov. 13 the boyfriend and girlfriend, who live together in Crestview, were in a verbal argument while driving on South Ferdon Boulevard. The woman, who was in the passenger seat, told the man to get out of the vehicle while he was driving.

The man said he was then trying to drive back to his residence when his girlfriend threw an open can of soda on him, causing it to go all over his shirt and car. When he pulled into a Walmart parking lot, she then grabbed the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to swerve onto a curb. He then got out of the car and threw the keys into the grass.

The woman admitted to her offenses and said she was “upset” with her boyfriend. She was arrested and charged with battery.
