St. Hilary of Poitiers Church: Bonnie Morris received the Traveling Chalice Saturday at the 4 p.m. Mass. It will remain in her home for one week as she pray for vocations.

Youth: Any sixth- through eighth-graders who are interested in attending the Junior High Faith Experience on Jan. 13 must have all their forms and payment of $50 turned in before Dec. 4. Forms can be turn in at CCD classes or at the parish office. There is information in the folder on the Religious Education Bulletin Board in the back on church for anyone who is interested.

St. Hilary’s Pastoral Council: St. Hilary’s Pastoral Council meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the multipurpose building. We ask that all members attend.

St. Mary’s Nativity Church: Camille and Aline St. Pierre received the Traveling Chalice at the 4 p.m. Mass Saturday. They will keep the chalice for a week and pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood, deaconate and religious life, especially among the young people of our parish and diocese. Anyone wishing to receive the chalice can contact Ronnie Danos at 537-7806.

New members: Received into the church through the waters of baptism are Eva Catherine Vedros and Levi Christopher Vedros.

Pastoral Council election: The Pastoral Council election for four new members will be held in December. Nominations are being accepted until Nov. 30. Our council members are Bethel Barrilleaux, Dwayne Bourgeois, Kerwin Cortez, Hamilton Dantin, Margaret Doucet, Jimmy Ledet, Sandra Loupe, Penny Matranga and Molly Sampey. Dwayne Bourgeois, Kerwin Cortez and Hamilton Dantin’s terms have expired, and they are not up for re-election. Margaret Doucet has asked to be replaced. When submitting your nomination, please check with the person you are nominating to make sure that he or she is willing to serve on our Parish Pastoral Council.

Sympathy: In the charity of your prayer, please remember Earl J. Babin and Leroy J. LeCompte who have entered eternal rest. Please keep their family members in prayer that they find comfort and consolation in their faith.

Ministers are needed: Please, with prayerful consideration, join our Ministers Group. We are in need of commentators, extra-ordinary ministers of Holy Communion and lectors. We need help at all Masses. If interested, please contact Carol in the administration office at 537-3204.
