MILTON — A 30-year-old woman is behind bars for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old boy in October 2016.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office began investigating the alleged sexual relationship five days after Tracie Casler of Milton gave birth to a baby. The baby's gender was redacted from the Sheriff's Office's report.

At the beginning of September, a representative from the Florida Department of Children and Families told investigators that a DNA test was performed on the baby. The result also was redacted from the report.

Then on Oct. 26, 2017, Deputy John Fitzgerald went to Escambia High School, where he interviewed the boy. In a sworn statement, the boy told Fitzgerald he went home with Casler after meeting with her at a Halloween party, the Sheriff's Office reported.

He said he was "messed up" from the party and went into Casler's room and had sex because he was feeling "horny." The boy did say that he made the first move and that was the only time he and Casler had sex.

Casler was arrested for lewd and lascivious battery and booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail, where she has been since Nov. 9 on $30,000 bail.
