CRESTVIEW — A man was arrested for trespassing after staring down a police officer who told him he would be arrested for trespassing if he did not leave.

Per an arrest report from the Crestview Police Department, on Oct. 30 the 46-year-old man walked up to a home and offered the resident $30 for crack cocaine. The resident told the man to leave the property.

The resident followed the man down the street, where the pair made contact with a police officer. The officer told the man not to go back to the house, and the man immediately turned around and began walking towards the house.

The resident told the officer he wanted the man trespassed from his property, so the officer told the man he was trespassed and needed to leave and proceed on his way. The man then walked to the edge of the property, where he “stopped and began staring” at the officer.

The officer told the man he had 10 seconds to leave the property or he would be arrested for trespassing after warning. The man continued to stare.

He was taken into custody on charges of trespassing, a misdemeanor.
