CRESTVIEW — A mother-daughter duo was arrested after slashing a woman with a knife and beating her with a baseball bat.

According to an arrest report from the Crestview Police Department, on Oct. 26 officers arrived to a home in reference to a disturbance and found a woman with cut wounds to her face and chest, as well as a swollen elbow. The victim told officers she had gone to the 25-year-old suspect’s home to talk to her about a social media post.

When the victim and her friend arrived at the home and requested the daughter come outside to talk, the woman’s 45-year-old mother came outside and told the victim and her friend “You need to leave.”

As the victim was leaving, the woman’s daughter ran out of the residence with a small knife and “sliced her face and chest.” When the victim attempted to fight back, the mother hit her in the elbow with a bat she had been holding.

The victim and her friend then left the area and the victim was transported to North Okaloosa Medical Center for treatment. The mother and daughter were both arrested and booked on felony charges of battery with a deadly weapon.
