Greene County High School quarterback KaRon Coleman passed for 291 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for another in a 38-32 victory over Aliceville.

He threw touchdown passes of 17, 59, 6 and 65 yards.

For his efforts, Coleman has earned High School Football Player of the Week honors from The Tuscaloosa News.

Several other players had standout performances to garner honorable mention:

• Gordo’s Aarion Steele rushed for 221 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries in a 59-27 victory over Montevallo.

• Fayette County’s Chance Stevenson completed 8 of 10 passes for 260 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-14 victory over Winfield. He also rushed for a touchdown.

• Central’s Javonta Leatherwood rushed for 209 yards and four touchdowns on 37 carries in a 36-22 victory over Marbury.

• Bibb County’s Trey Reese completed 6 of 7 passes for 193 yards and four touchdowns in a 49-13 victory over West Blocton.

• Hillcrest's Colby Smelley completed 14 of 17 passes for 193 yards and three touchdowns in a 47-13 victory over Brookwood.

• Hale County’s Malik Ward rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries in a 31-14 victory over Sipsey Valley.
