CRESTVIEW – A man who struck his wife in the face during an argument in their bathroom closet was charged with battery.

The victim told Crestview Police Department officers he’d followed her into a closet and pushed her after she stuck a finger in his face.

He then punched the closet door with so much force that a bathrobe became embedded in the hole.

He then punched her in the face.

Two witnesses corroborated the victim’s account, according to the 42-year-old man’s arrest report.

He told officers that she was poking him in the forehead and he got tired of it so he pushed her to bed and held her down. He said he stopped when his daughters started attacking him and he left the house.
