CRESTVIEW – A domestic violence victim who fought officers who tried to help her was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer.

She was found in the back yard of the home where she’d been battered with a laceration to her right thigh and other bruises. She also told them her right wrist hurt, according to her Crestview Police Department arrest report.

When they tried to help her, she became combative and kicked one of the officers.

In the patrol car, she kicked the rear window and banged her head against it several times.

Officers removed her from the car to calm her down, at which point she kicked one of the officers again.
