CRESTVIEW – The manager of the Crestview Sonic was charged with grand theft after being seen in surveillance video putting the night deposit in his shorts.

The $740 was not deposited in the bank, according to the 24-year-old man’s Crestview Police Department arrest report.

When police interviewed the man, he said Sonic had a problem with people stealing money at night. He said he was trying to help by collecting the money from the safe.

He said he deposited the money and then he changed his story to say his girlfriend had done it.
