LAUREL HILL – A 40-year-old woman who violated a restraining order by ringing the victim’s doorbell for 20 minutes was arrested.
The incident happened at a home in Laurel Hill that was listed as a protected address in the injunction.
According to one of the home’s residents, the woman showed up and rang the doorbell for 20 minutes before leaving.
When Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies found the woman several days later, she said she had gone to the home to talk with the resident about her children, but no one would answer the door.
She told deputies she thought the no-contact order only applied to her children, according to her arrest report.
