CRESTVIEW — A 15-year-old driver was charged Sunday after crashing a car into a home and leaving the scene.

According to a press release from Florida Highway Patrol, 15-year-old Jeremiah Haynes was traveling north on Monterry Road in a 2008 Scion at 12:48 p.m. Sunday with 17-year-old Raheem Perdue in the passenger seat.

Haynes lost control of the vehicle, causing the car to leave the roadway and enter the east shoulder. On the east shoulder, the vehicle continued in a northeasterly direction, causing the vehicle to crash into the residence of 5425 Monterry Road.

There were no injuries from the crash.

Haynes was charged with not having a driver's license, reckless driving and the leaving the scene of a crash with property damage.
