The Orlando man was charged with dumping hazardous waste.
CRESTVIEW — An Orlando man was charged with dumping hazardous waste after he admitted to pouring a gallon of diesel fuel on the ground behind a Waffle House.
The 21-year-old man was talking to a family at a nearby hotel when the Crestview Police Department officer arrived.
As the officer watched, he picked up a red gas can.
He first told the officer he did not dump fuel on the ground, but after being informed that there were witnesses, he said someone gave him the diesel fuel but it did not work in his vehicle.
He said he went behind the restaurant and dumped it out, according to his arrest report.
He then showed the officer where he’d dumped it.
