CHICAGO, Illinois — A third-generation hearing care practitioner has been recognized as a Beltone Senior Master Practitioner for his top sales and service of Beltone hearing aids.

Cameron Yordon fit more than 300 devices and helped 152 people in the Crestview community hear better in 2016.

Yordon has been a hearing care practitioner for six years, serving Beltone's Crestview patients.

"I love being able to use and experience the latest technology available day in and day out to change the lives of the people around me. I love getting to sit and listen to stories of the people from what is known as the last great generation," Yordon said.

"Hearing health is so commonly forgotten about as something that really is not that important. People need to understand all of the negative side effects of untreated hearing loss," Yordon said.

Corrine Perritano, Beltone North America president, said of the 48 million Americans with hearing loss, only about 25 percent take charge of their hearing by having it evaluated.

"We're working to change the conversation and make hearing care just another aspect of taking responsibility for one's health. Hearing care professionals like Cameron are more empowered than ever to deliver a whole new level of personalized hearing care and service in ways that are simple and convenient for our patients," Perritano said.
