CRESTVIEW – A man was charged with trespassing after he walked up to the manager of a dollar store and asked her for a hug. He also said he loved her.

The manager asked him to leave, but he refused, according to his Crestview Police Department arrest report.

When the officer arrived, the 49-year-old suspect was standing at the checkout counter. The officer recognized him, having had past encounters with him, the report said.

The man had been issued a trespass warning in November from the complex where the store is located.

He was placed under arrest and charged with trespassing.
