CRESTVIEW – A 30-year-old man who pretended to be asleep when deputies came to arrest him was charged with resisting an officer.
The Crestview man was also charged with falsely imprisoning an adult during the May 31 incident, according to his Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
Deputies went to the home to serve an outstanding warrant to the man for a charge of probation violation.
When they got there, he barricaded himself in the back bedroom and refused to leave the bedroom, pretending to be asleep.
Deputies made contact with a woman who was in the room at the time. She said that the suspect told her to stay in the room and forced her to stay in bed with him, the report said.
He also threatened to destroy her cell phone if she made any noise, she said.
