CRESTVIEW — Crestview’s Toastmasters Club will have a fundraising yard sale on Saturday.

The event is 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 10 at the open lot across from Northview Plaza; the southwest corner of North Ferdon Boulevard and 7th Avenue.

Toastmasters is an international organization dedicated to the development of leadership qualities and speaking skills for people around the world. Toastmasters uses a local-club, peer-to-peer training method that has been working effectively since the inception of Toastmasters in 1924.

Using materials prepared by Toastmasters International, local club members earn achievement levels in both leadership and speaking while following a consistent course of study. Advanced members mentor and coach the less experienced, less confident newer members.

In a positive, empowering club environment, members develop their self-confidence along with their skills. Anyone who wishes to improve their chances for promotion, function effectively in a supervisory position, or just generally enhance their career choices, can benefit from membership in a Toastmasters club.
