CRESTVIEW — A 29-year-old man who allegedly texted his wife that if she stepped foot on their property he would shoot her dead, was arrested Sunday night.
Sean Ross Garrett is accused of texting additional threatening messages to his wife, according to his Crestview Police Department arrest report.
He told her she was nothing more than a target, that it was no longer a game and that he was "pumped," the report said.
When she arrived home Sunday night, he was drunk, but she asked if they could talk. He went to the back bedroom and grabbed a shotgun, the report said. He loaded it and told her he would shoot her in the head.
When officers arrived, they found the gun in the bedroom.
Garrett told them he never grabbed the shotgun and that it was still in the closet, the report said.
The victim told officers she feared her husband during the incident.
