CRESTVIEW – A 32-year-old man faces felony charges of throwing a missile into dwelling or structure after hurling a full bottle of Corona at a car.
The victim told Crestview Police Department officers she’d stopped by a friend’s house and the suspect approached her car, according to his arrest report.
When she asked him to leave and told him they had nothing to discuss, he became angry and threw a loaf of bread at her.
She tried to leave, but he was still yelling and cursing at her. He then threw the bottle of Corona, which hit her tire.
When she asked him why he did that, he cursed her out, and then ran into his house, yelling, “I got something for you (expletive),” the report said. He came out with a black gun, she told officers.
She called police, at which point he ran away and hid the gun. He came back and threatened her with a second bottle of Corona, but backed down when she said the police were on their way, the report said.
A witness confirmed the victim’s version of the events.
The suspect told officers that they were friends and he’d tried to call her the day before the altercation, but she wouldn’t answer her phone. He said she then showed up in his neighborhood and talked to everyone but him, he said.
He admitted to throwing the bottle of beer at the car, but wasn’t sure if he hit it or not.
