CRESTVIEW — Less than 12 hours after a man was shot in the leg in Crestview on Tuesday morning, another man turned up at North Okaloosa Medical Center with a similar wound to his thigh.

According to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office press release, deputies responded Tuesday evening to calls of “shots fired” on Wedgewood Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered blood on the driveway of a home on that street.

Witnesses told the deputies they heard two gunshots about 6:30 p.m. and noticed two vehicles leaving the area about the same time. A short time later, 19-year-old Tyler Webb of Traxx Street turned up at the hospital with a bullet wound to his left thigh. Investigators say Webb told conflicting stories about how he was shot.

Wedgewood Lane is about 2.5 miles from Susan Lane, where Tyshaun Tarver, 37, allegedly shot Charles Booker in the leg following a fight about 10:45 Tuesday morning. Tarver was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Anyone with information regarding Webb’s shooting is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 850-689-5705 or contact Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 863-TIPS or
