CRESTVIEW — Shoal River Middle School is no stranger to fundraisers that get people moving, like its annual Annelise's Wild Mustang Run.

It just hasn’t done it like this before.

The Wet and Wild Mustang 5K is Saturday, Sept. 14 at the school.

"We are ... going to have the school's sprinklers system on (during the event)," physical education teacher Ryan Gillis said. "(Participants) will get wet."

Attendees are encouraged to bring water guns and soak other participants. Refill stations will be set up along the route.

"We thought this would be a great way to show off our school and get people out and be active,” Gillis said.

And to support school programs. Funds raised from the 5K will benefit the football and cross country teams.
