CRESTVIEW — Whereas mothers once tried to remove paint from their offspring's clothes, many Crestview moms are trying to preserve stains as a Senior Week memento.

The Class of 2013 enjoyed five days of fun and ceremony while adding a new tradition during the week leading to last night's graduation.

More than 80 students gathered behind the school Wednesday morning to take a lap around the building.

Facing them was a six-station gauntlet of tempera-paint-wielding underclassmen. Clad in new, white T-shirts commemorating the “Color Me Done” run, the seniors set off, reaching the finish line in a festive rainbow.

"This stuff tastes like Play-Doh!" one senior said as he caught a blast of tempera paint powder full in the face.

"How do you know what Play-Doh tastes like?" a classmate asked as she dodged the green cloud.
